🌧️ THE DUA OF YAʿQUB عليه السلام✨ WHY THIS DUA IS SO POWERFULProphet Yaʿqub عليه السلام endured years of grief over the loss of his beloved son, Yusuf عليه السلام. Despite the passage of time and deep sorrow, he maintains faith in Allah, choosing to express his pain only to Him. In the end, Allah answered the dua and exceeded Prophet Yaqub’s expectations.His words teach us that it is okay to feel hurt and grieve. A Neglected Sunnah After SalahAmong the abandoned Sunnahs is this beautiful Dhikr that the Prophet ﷺ would say after both the obligatory and the voluntary prayers.اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي وَخَطَايَايَ كُلَّهَا، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْعِشْنِي وَاجْبُرْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي لِصَالِحِ الْأَعْمَالِ وَالْأَخْلَاقِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي لِصَالِحِهَا وَلَا يَصْرِفُ سَيِّئَهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ“O Allah, forgive all my sins and mistakes. O Allah, uplift me and mend me, and guide me to the best of deeds and character. Indeed, none guides to the best of them, nor turns away their evil, except You.”أَنْعِشْنِي uplift me, revive and strengthen me.وَاجْبُرْنِي mend my deficiencies, rectify my shortcomings, and restore my affairs.A beautiful Dhikr to revive and make part of our remembrance after both obligatory and voluntary prayers.Authentic Duas

It’s either “inna ma’al usri yusrah” (Indeed, with hardship comes ease. 📖 Qur’an 94:5–6) Or “kullu nafsin za’iqatul maut”(Every soul shall taste death. 📖 Qur’an 3:185 / 21:35 / 29:57)But then, “fabi ayyi ala’i rabbikuma tukaththiban”(So which of the favors of your Lord will you both deny? 📖 Qur’an 55:13)Alhamdulilah for another day.Every day, remember that you may be going through hardship and ease will come, or that you may not see another day, because every soul will taste death. ### When One Is DistressedO Allah! It is certainly Your Mercy what I hope for, so do not entrust me to myself for the blink of an eye; and rectify all of my affairs. An Abandoned Sunnah after Reciting the Quraan.It is preferred, on finishing the recitation of the Quraan to say:سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، أشهد أن لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ"SunhaanakaLlaahumma wabihamdik ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illaa anta astaghfiruka wa atuubu ilayk".The evidence for this is as follows:Aaishah - may Allaah be pleased with her - mentioned that:The Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu alayhi wasallam) was never in a sitting, never recited the Quraan, nor did he ever offer a prayer, except that he ended them all with certain words.She added:''So i said to him, O Messenger of Allaah, I noticed that you never are in a sitting, nor do you ever recite the Quraan, nor observe a Salaat, except that you end off with these words''.He replied by saying, ''Yes''.Authentic Duas

FORMS OF SENDING BLESSINGS UPON THE PROPHET (ﷺ)Ibn al-Qayyim (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) mentioned:"Sending blessings on the Prophet (ﷺ) take three forms:1️⃣. Sending blessings upon him before making du'a, and after praising ALLĀH, because the Prophet (ﷺ) said: > When anyone of you makes du'a, let him start by glorifying his Lord and praising HIM, then let him send blessings upon the Prophet (ﷺ), then let him pray for whatever he wants. (At-Tirmidhi #3477)2️⃣. Sending blessings upon him at the beginning of the du'a, in the middle and at the end.3️⃣. Complain your grief and sorrow to Allah alone no one else. When going through trials and you losing hope seek the help of Allah the One who promised us,“Verily. With hardship comes ease.”[Quran, 94:5]Allah is the One who has the power to ease your affairs so beseech Him day and night. Never complain to humans except those who will encourage you to seek the help of Allah. Most people have their own problems and most don’t want to hear your problems.And some people when you complain to them about your hardships they do not care or perhaps share with others mocking you.Allah is the best One to complain to, the One who controls all of your affairs and decrees every matter for you. Istighfar The Solution To Every Problem:It is related in Tafsir al Qurtubi that Hasan al-Basr رحمه الله was once seated. A man came saying ” O Master, I’m very sinful do tell me an act which I can do to be forgiven”. Hasan al-Basri replied,“Go and do Istighfar”Second person came and said, ” O Master, for many days rains have stopped and there is drought. Tell me an action through which Allah will send down rain to us”. Hasan al-Basri replied,“Go and do Istighfar”Third person came and said, ” I am under a lot of debt. I am working, but please make dua that Allah give me wealth so I can be saved from debts”. Hasan al-Basri replied,“Go and do Istighfar to Allah”Fourth person came and said, “It is a wish of mine that Allah give me an offspring. So please make dua that Allah gives me pious offspring”. Ibn al-Jawzi addressed a common doubt in one of his works by writing:[فإذا جاء إبليس؛ فقال: كَم تدعوهُ ولا ترى إجابة!؛ فقُل: أنا أتعبّدُ بالدُّعاء.ـ]When Iblis comes and says, "How many times have you made du'a to Him without seeing a response?!" then say, "When I make du'a I am in fact engaged in an act of worship!"[Sayd al-Khatir pg 222]
