One life lesson I’ve learned:When you give your time, skills, or work for free once, some people can start seeing free as the normal price. You help them once, they get the benefit, and when another task comes up, they expect the same deal again.Of course, there are genuinely good people who keep their word. But it’s still important to set boundaries early.Do free work when you choose to maybe for experience, your portfolio, a relationship, or simply because you believe it’s worth doing. But don’t let “I’ll return the favor later” become an endless agreement.Your time, effort, skills, and knowledge have value.Learn to price them properly and set clear expectations.Because when you leave the boundary unclear, people may stop seeing it as kindness and start seeing it as an opportunity. That’s a life lesson worth learning early.

A little Monday reminder:You’re probably scared because it’s unfamiliar, not because you’re incapable. Some things only become less scary after you start.Have a great week! 😍@edemy251

Nobody will care about your dream the way you do.People can support you, give you advice, or even believe in you. But at the end of the day, who will achieve your dream better than you?You have to be the one willing to keep going when it gets difficult, start again when things don’t work, and keep learning along the way.You don’t need to have everything figured out.You just need to care enough to keep moving.@edemy251

Pagume is honestly one of my favorite times of the year. It’s like a small pause before the new year begins. I usually take some time to look back at the year and write down a few things:What did I accomplish? What did I miss? What did I learn not just in work, but in life? What do I need to improve? And what do I want to accomplish next year, if God wills and I’m alive? 😅This year feels especially special to me. I believe I accomplished some things that were on my bucket list, and I’m genuinely grateful for that.I think we’re always busy planning what’s next that we sometimes forget to look back and see how far we’ve come.So before the new year starts, take a little time for yourself. You might be surprised by how much you actually accomplished.

The side effect of growing up around Megenagna is that you never trust your back 😂Someone walking behind me? I’m checking.Someone getting a little too close? I’m checking again.Someone I don’t know suddenly walking at the same speed as me? Yeah… something is not right. 😭Sometimes I literally stop walking and let them pass.I thought changing places would fix this.Turns out, you can leave Megenagna… but Megenagna doesn’t leave you. 😭@edemy251

“I’ll start when I feel more ready.”“I’ll start when I know enough.”“Maybe I’m not ready yet. I’ll wait until I feel more confident.”We say these things all the time. But the truth is, experience doesn’t come before you start. It comes because you start. You learn by trying, making mistakes, solving problems, and trying again. There may never be a “perfect” time.Start where you are, use what you have, and learn along the way.The right time isn’t someday. It’s when you decide to begin.@edemy251

It’s already Monday!I don’t know what happened to Saturday and Sunday… they looked like they were on fast-forward.Anyway, back to work. This week, I’ll continue a task I started on Sunday, start working on the design for a new project I’ve been wanting to begin, and of course, keep working on client projects.New week, new tasks, new progress.Have a productive week! Start by planning, work on the high-priority tasks first, and focus on making progress one task at a time.Don’t overthink it, just make it count.Happy Monday!@edemy251

Tech jobs aren't necessarily difficult because every concept is extremely difficult. They're difficult because becoming good requires discipline, consistency, patience, and continuous learning. And the learning never really stops. There’s always a new technology, framework, tool, or concept to learn. The hard part isn’t learning something once. It’s staying curious and consistent for years.Talent can give you a head start, but consistency compounds.Sometimes, the difference isn’t who is smarter. It’s who keeps learning and keeps going.@edemy251

If you’re working as a freelancer, don’t think only about the next project. Think long term.Treat your freelancing journey like you’re building a small agency. Most of the time, you’re not just writing code. You’re finding clients, selling your skills, managing the project, communicating with the client, testing the product, fixing problems, and making sure everything gets delivered. You’re already learning many of the skills needed to run a business. And don’t focus only on getting new clients. Build long-term relationships with the clients you already have.Do good work. Communicate well. Build trust.A happy client can come back with another project, recommend you to someone else, or even become a long-term partner. And who knows? One day, that freelance journey might become your agency, your company, or even your startup.Don’t just freelance for the next payment.
