The best way to provide road safety is to introduce more serious punishments for drivers.To what extent do you agree or disagree?Poor road safety is one pressing issue many governments are concerned about. Some assume that the most effective way to counteract it is to impose harsher punishments for drivers. While I acknowledge that this idea is beneficial, I believe a multi-faceted approach is the most sensible solution.Stringent regulations related to road safety may indeed act as a deterrent to many. Heavier fines, long licence suspensions or even custodial sentences are pertinent examples of how strict these policies can be. Aware of these consequences, drivers will think twice before they drink-drive or exceed speed limits. Uzbekistan is a country with such regulations; hefty fines compel many drivers to adhere to road safety rules, deterring them from causing road accidents and thus receiving punishments.This argument, however compelling it may appear, does have a flaw: fines are not universally heavy. For high-income households, the fines that are substantial to their low-income counterparts are only negligible. They may pay them multiple times a month and still keep speeding or drink-driving, a trend common in many nations, particularly Uzbekistan. Although there are some countries, such as Finland, where this problem has been tackled through flexible fines that depend on how much a driver earns, in many others, the issue remains rife.The most promising approach is to employ a combination of different measures. Installing speed cameras, expanding traffic police staff and using modern traffic-calming technologies can make a big difference in this case. They do not simply address the issue; they tackle the root causes, from poor law enforcement to lack of road safety technologies, leaving drivers, even wealthy ones, with little opportunity to break rules. Nations that have adopted this combined method—China, for instance—have seen sizeable progress in reducing road collisions.In conclusion, despite that I agree with the notion that stringent road safety rules are an effective countermeasure to road accidents, I do not think it makes the best policy. Rather, I believe the best solution is the combined approach, one that involves the state-of-the-art technologies and has a more sweeping effect on the driving culture.#task2 #writingJasur Juraev | IELTS 9.0

1) I work as a part-time teacher at a local learning center.2) I am. I'm very much into armwrestling and MMA.3) Absolutely. But back in those days, my interests were different: I was more into team sports than combat sports.4) Every now and then. Whenever I have a free link to live MMA fights or armwrestling matches, I do watch'em.5) It definitely is. Doing sports helps develop bones, grow muscls and improves health as a whole.6) Watching how cars are assembled for special projects. The way engine components, a gear box and cooling systems are put together is really fascinating—kind of an engineering miracle.7) Peace. I finally have some time to spend on things that matter to me emotionally and mentally. That's like an unwinding experience after a burn-out or something.8) Why not. He almost won the Nobel prize for his PhD dissertation on English linguistics, which he enthusiastically talks about on every single lesson. I like that he uses his own achievement as a way to make us study.4) Those from secondary school, for sure. That's not because they taught better or something. They were more patient with me misbehaving on lessons and did not yell at me a lot.5) I don't. It's been a while since we even saw each other, and I don't see any point in keeping in touch with them.6) Smart casual.
