So, some of them have fulfilled their vows (by sacrificing their lives in the way of Allah), and some of them are (still) waiting, and they did not change (their commitment) in the least. Al-Qurtubi (رحمه الله) relates the following fatwa concerning the Sufis in his tafsir:May Allah have mercy upon you; the path of the Sufis is futile activity, ignorance, and misguidance.
