The Battle of Megiddo (1457 BCE), one of the oldest recorded battles.Fought between Egypt, Pharaoh Thutmose III, and a coalition of rebel Canaanite city-states under the King of Kadesh.Both sides deployed roughly 12,000 troops each.Thutmose III marched his army through the narrow Aruna Pass, straight into enemy lines, catching the Canaanites by surprise.He launched a lightning-fast dawn attack, shattered the Canaanites.Canaanites fled back towards Megiddo, leading to the Siege of Megiddo, which lasted 7 months.Thutmose encircle the city with a thick wooden palisade, reinforced with a trench.He isolated the city, trapping the rebels and cutting off food, reinforcements and trade.Starving, the city surrendered.Thutmose spared the lives of the citizens, but took the leaders captive and secured large amounts of plunder, including chariots, livestock, royal armor, etc.

🇺🇸 Another ICE shooting in Austin TX during a traffic stop.Limon Verde, a local reporter who spoke with the man’s wife, told CBS Austin that she said her husband was shot twice in the back. The reporter also described witness video sent to him, saying an ICE SUV attempted to block the man’s vehicle.
