WHEN HEARING BECOMES FAITH AND FAITH BECOMES ACTION“When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.” — Mark 5:27 (NKJV)That woman heard about Jesus. She had not yet seen her miracle, but what she heard began to work within her.The Scripture says:“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17 (NKJV)Her hearing became faith, and her faith became action.There was a crowd in front of her—a crowd that could have stopped her, slowed her down, or made her turn back. But something had been born inside her: the certainty that Jesus was her hope.So she pressed through the crowd and moved toward Him.She did not simply remain listening to what others were saying about Jesus. She turned what she had heard into a step of faith.And finally:“…she touched His garment.”Here we see a powerful spiritual progression:HEAR → BELIEVE → MOVE → TOUCH.True faith does not remain only in the ears. It descends into the heart and then moves the life into action.Perhaps we also need to press through today.Press through fear, doubt, circumstances, and everything that tries to keep us from reaching Jesus.Do not stop at what you have heard about Him. He simply passed through the midst of those who wanted to throw Him over the cliff.Just moments before, Jesus had spoken words in the synagogue that provoked the anger of the people. Their anger became so intense that they wanted to destroy Him. Humanly speaking, it seemed that there was no way out.But what people had decided could not override the time and purpose appointed by the Father.Jesus passed through the midst of them.This does not mean that the danger was not real. The danger was real. The threat was real. The crowd was truly against Him.
