Haramaya University College of Law recently hosted a productive consultative meeting with a delegation from the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) to explore strategic collaboration on Transitional Justice (TJ) and human rights advocacy. Building on the College’s prior initiatives in Transitional Justice and the EHRC’s national mandate, both institutions agreed to join forces to advance justice, accountability, and awareness in eastern Ethiopia. Haramaya University Signs Partnership to Empower Women Law StudentsHaramaya University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Justice For All – Prison Fellowship Ethiopia, an initiative led by former President of the Federal Supreme Court of Ethiopia, Chief Justice Meaza Ashenafi, to provide a structured mentorship program for female law students at the College of Law.The agreement aims to strengthen women's leadership and professional development by connecting female law students with experienced legal professionals who will provide mentorship, career guidance, and practical insights.
