Contemporary research increasingly affirms what Islamic teachings have long emphasized: the manner in which parents interact with their children profoundly influences their emotional and social development.A recent meta-analysis published in Adolescent Research Review (University of Georgia) demonstrates that parental warmth and acceptance significantly reduce symptoms of social anxiety among adolescents, whereas controlling, guilt-inducing, or cold parenting styles heighten vulnerability to anxiety disorders  .
