Odumeje accused some churches of prioritising money collection over demonstrating spiritual power and performing miracles, claiming that worshippers are often subjected to repeated teachings about giving without seeing practical evidence of miracles.“Those people that collect tithes and teach tithes every day when you come to church, they will be interested in making sure that they clear your pockets. And there is no practical evidence and miracles that you will see. The only thing is stories. That is not the kind of church I run,” he said.Explaining the focus of his ministry, the cleric added, “My mission on earth is demonstration of power. All the teaching of tithe and teaching of giving, I am not in that area.”However, Odumeje clarified that he was not against tithing, stressing that the decision to pay should be a personal choice rather than something imposed on Christians.“I don’t collect tithes. Nobody pays me tithes. I am not saying that tithe is bad. It’s a decision between you and God if you want to pay tithe. Tithe is real. But it is something that you must decide. Not something that somebody will be brainwashing you, forcing you,” he said. The cleric also condemned teachings suggesting that Christians would be denied access to heaven if they failed to pay tithes, arguing against the use of such claims to pressure worshippers into giving.

“You will park like five, six cars inside your compound, five, six Benz worth 50, 300, 400 million naira, but you are still going to apply for visa. You still want to go to ordinary Dubai, you are going to queue for visa with Nigeria passport. What are you using your money to do? Who is supposed to buy a second citizenship first if not you?” Fekomi said.He advised high-earning individuals to consider obtaining a second passport or investing in businesses capable of generating enough money to afford one.“The first thing you should — once you make 10, 20, 300 million, get a second passport, keep it somewhere, you understand? Or you get a business that can earn you the money to afford that kind of passport,” he added.Fekomi further criticised those who spend heavily on luxury fashion and champagne to impress others.“But no, you want to buy Benz. You use your money, you go and use your money to be buying all this unnecessary expensive wears because you want to prove a point, be popping champagne everywhere. Don’t worry, don’t worry,” he said. His remarks have sparked discussions about whether wealthy individuals should prioritise luxury purchases or long-term investments.

“What politicians do is that they will infiltrate the list either at the state level, then we bring in people, sew NYSC uniform for them, so what you find at the polling unit are people actually submitted through compromise to our own staff to conduct election at the level of the polling unit,” Igini stated. He stressed the importance of technology, warning: “Because any organization that fails to embrace technology will be overtaken by chaos, okay, or decay or decline.”However, Igini urged Nigerians to recognise their power at polling units, noting that only four officials are normally deployed to each unit.“The good news to the Nigerian people, this is what you need to know, is that at the polling unit you have only four officials,” he said.He added that voters outnumber officials across Nigeria’s 176,846 polling units, saying: “Voters will normally outnumber poll officials at the polling unit, that’s where the power of voters lies.”Recalling his experience supervising elections in Osun State in August 2014, Igini said: “I was the one who superintended the conduct of election in Ife South that won and we shut down all the tricks to rig election in that state.”
