The US Dollar is strengthening. The Dollar Index just hit an 8-week high of 100.892, up 2.30% in the last 13 days only. Markets are now pricing in an 89% chance of at least one more Fed rate hike this year. A rate hike raises the cost of borrowing, so people spend less and save more. That savings comes out of money that would otherwise go into stocks and other markets. So more savings means the dollar gets stronger, while liquidity moves out of the market and into bank deposits which is a negative signal for stocks.@OnlyFinance_Pro

Google's Gemini reportedly hacked 3 real companies in its first known incident of this kind, per WSJ. AI-security lab Irregular was testing Gemini against fake targets in a simulated environment when the model accidentally gained access to the real internet. Gemini then guessed passwords and found exposed credentials in public repositories, allowing it to enter real company systems. It was capable of exploiting vulnerabilities, stealing credentials and even accessing a production database. Google says Gemini stopped the attack once it realized it had entered a real company's system. The incidents happened in May but only became public in September, with the names of the affected companies still undisclosed. AI capabilities may be advancing faster than the safeguards designed to contain them and some of these incidents remained undisclosed for months.@OnlyFinance_Pro
