🚨THIS WILL BE THE MOST HONEST AND EMOTIONAL POST I’VE MADE ABOUT THE DEATH OF MY SON.🚨I can’t stop weeping as I write and read this. This vivid dream from God is healing my heart…I woke in the deep hours of the night, heart pounding, tears already on my face. Another dream — or was it a vision? — had come again. Since my son Evan stepped into eternity on May 8, 2026, the Lord has been gracious to let me see glimpses of what’s waiting. This one felt more real than the air I breathed. I closed my eyes and let it pull me back in… I stepped through the veil of death—not with fanfare or golden trumpets blaring like some cheap stage production, but with the quiet weight of every tear I had carried since that devastating day. Twenty years, eight months, and fourteen days—7,562 days—of his life now stretched behind me like a desert I had crossed on blistered feet. Today, words fail us. It’s been a long, hard battle the last few years. In times like this, the sacrifices and the struggles don’t even matter. A few hours ago we received the most earth-shattering news that our 20 year old son, Evan Roberts Locke, could not be revived after his heart stopped due to an overdose. His struggle was very public. It was used as a warning to many, a punchline to the haters but an overall reminder that even in our deepest pain, the grace of Jesus will sustain us. I’ll address the church family with arrangement details this Sunday. Please respect our privacy. He has 5 heartbroken siblings and a world of people that helped him along his journey.
