Power of the HandshakeSimple acts, such as greeting and shaking hands, are not merely social niceties but have profound moral and spiritual effects. By directing one's focus to the less fortunate, a person preserves gratitude and protects the heart from underestimating the immense favours of Allāh. Whoever consistently maintains the recitation of Sūrah al-Baqarah over long/unbroken periods will witness remarkable changes in their life; physical healing, increase in their provision, expansion in their chest and blessing in their time.The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:اقرَؤوا سورةَ البَقرةِ؛ فإنَّ أخذَها بَركةٌ، وتَركَها حَسرةٌ، ولا تَستطيعُها البَطَلةُ"...Recite Sūrah al-Baqarah, for taking hold of it is a blessing, neglecting it is a regret, and those engaged in sorcery [and deceptive practices] cannot withstand it."• أخرجه مسلم (804)، وأحمد (22193)

In the desert, a camel that bolts (شَرَدَ) doesn't just wander away, it breaks away from safety; ignoring its keeper who feeds and protects it. It runs towards danger, often out of agitation or stubborn instinct.Similarly, people are not denied Paradise, they simply choose to flee from the very means that lead to it. In a Prophetic Hadīth we read:كلُّكُمْ يدخلُ الجنةَ إِلّا مَنْ شَرَدَ على اللهِ شِرادَ البَعِيرِ على أهلِهِ"All of you shall enter Paradise, except the one who bolts away from Allāh like a camel that runs away from its owner."• أحمد (٢٢٢٢٦)، والطبراني (٣١٤٩) السلسلة الصحيحة (٢٠٤٣)The analogy is powerful: Allāh is not withholding guidance or mercy, for the path remains open. Real wealth is not in possessions, but in the company of the righteous, for their du'ā shall benefit you in both the abodes. Al-Hasan Al-Basrī (d.110H) said:استكثروا من الأصدقاء المؤمنين فإن لهم شفاعة يوم القيامة"Invest in a good number of believing friends, for they have (a right to) intercession on the Day of Qiyāmah."Ibn Nāsir al-Sa'dī (d.1376H) said:مـن أعـظـم الـمـكـاسب وأجل المغانم كسب صداقة الأخيار واغتنام أدعيتهم في الحياة وبعد الممات"Among the greatest gains and most noble treasures is earning the friendship of the righteous and benefiting from their supplications; in life and after death."• مجموع الفوائد واقتناص الأوابد (ص106)Quran Player MP3

The value of charity lies in sincerity and sacrifice, not in the amount. Mu'āwiya ibn Abī Sufyān (ر) said:تصدقوا، ولا يقل أحدكم: إني مقل، فإن صدقة المقل أفضل من صدقة الغني"Give in charity, and let none of you say, 'I have little.' If your good deed brings you quiet joy, and your sin brings you real discomfort, it means your heart is alive and remains oriented toward Allah. The true sign of faith is not perfection, but moral sensitivity. Serve and Draw Near 🚲Closeness to Allāh comes from benefiting others; both by guiding them toward love of Allāh and living by sincere advice and righteous action. Abū al-Dardā' (ر) said:إِنْ شِئْتُمْ لَأُحَدِّثَنَّكُمْ مَنْ أَحَبُّ عِبَادِ الله إِلَى الله؟ الَّذِينَ يُحَبِّبُونَ الله إِلَى عِبَادِهِ ويَعْمَلُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ نُصْحًا"If you wish, I will tell you who are most beloved to Allāh: those who inspire His love in the hearts of His servants, and act with sincere counsel and righteousness on the earth."• أحمد في الزهد (١٣/ ٤٣)Quran Player MP3
