Its trade surplus rose to a record $1.19 trillion last year.▪️China remains the world’s leading industrial power and, by a wide margin, its largest producer and exporter of intermediate goods. Chinese exporters responded to America’s new trade barriers by simply working around them, rather than reducing volumes.▪️China’s state-led economic model has become even more effective. 🇷🇺 Citing stolen documents, Western media report plans to increase UAV production at the drone factory in Yelabuga, Tatarstan.Estimates of the scale are based on increased supplies of carbon fiber, which is used to make the airframes. By 2029, the customer is expected to receive an additional 500 tonnes above current levels.These figures have led to the conclusion that this would allow another 28,000 UAVs to be built annually. Current production is estimated at 36,000 units, meaning an increase of 78%.Chinese partners are involved as well. 🇷🇺 The new “Mangas” (“Мангас”) hexacopter in service with troops of the 11th Army Corps of the “North” force grouping.While it is encouraging to see Russian drone operators receiving such drones, their arrival comes with a massive lag of a couple of years, at a time when the balance in the battle for low-altitude airspace is far from tipping in our favor. 🇹🇷 Four Turkish companies and Istanbul Technical University, led by Turaç, have developed the “Dron Kalkanı” system. Its robotic turret mounts two Derya MAX 12-gauge shotguns, passive electro-optical and acoustic sensors, while Sterling ammunition creates a cloud of metal pellets. The system autonomously detects targets at 600–800 m and destroys them at 150 m. It is expected to enter series production by the end of the year.🤫: The Turkish shotgun drone killer can move, but cannot fire while moving. It fires when stationary.I don’t see the point. 🇷🇺 Rostec reports that it has delivered another batch of its latest Zubr ("Зубр") automated anti-aircraft systems to the troops to counter small, maneuverable UAVs.The system independently detects a drone and begins tracking it automatically. The operator only needs to make the decision and issue the command to engage.▪️The Zubr comprises four combat modules, a command post, and its own radar.▪️The Zubr automated anti-aircraft system was first spotted in September 2024 at the Kapustin Yar testing range during a visit by National Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev.
