🇬🇧🇺🇸 SEGA and EA (Electronic Arts). The Sprobe or Sega Probe is an unofficial development kit created by Electronic Arts for the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis in North America). The Sprobe dates back to the late 1980s, in which Sega were unable to meet demand for Mega Drive development kits. Not wishing to invest extra time and money, EA "borrowed" a development kit from an unnamed third party, and reverse engineered its contents, creating the Sprobe. The Sprobe has all the features of a regular model 1 Mega Drive (housed within the Sprobe is the innards of a real console) plus debugging equipment and the ability to connect to a computer. Though it was never mass produced, a small number of copies were created for use throughout the company. EA actually keeps a Sprobe on display at their headquarters.‼️⏬The whole story, which is a bit long, in the comments.⏬‼️🇪🇸 SEGA y EA (ElectronicVideogames Curiosities

🇬🇧🇺🇸 It is not a curiosity about video games, but it is a curious video, and I share it with you. College Saga is an amateur film made by Mark Leung and his fellow Babson College students and released on the Internet in 2006. The entire plot is a send-up of Japanese RPGs (such as Final Fantasy), complete with random battles, pop-up text and extras walking back and forth along the same path.Audio:English. Subtitles:English. 39 min.🇪🇸 No es una curiosidad sobre videojuegos, pero es un vídeo curioso, y lo comparto con vosotros. 🇬🇧🇺🇸 The foundation of ID Software: John Carmack and Tom Hal wanted to find a way to play side-Scrolling platformers games on IBM computers. To do this, they used the first level of Super Mario Bros. 3 as a base, and from there they added their own characters, replacing Mario with Dangerous Dave. Seeing the demo, John Romero suggested they submit it to Nintendo, but the Big N had no interest in bringing their games to PC. Despite this, the creators continued to work on the project, which ended up becoming "Commander Keen". Softdisk suggested they use the profits to create their own company where they could make their games, and that's how Id Software was born, the company that allowed them to make DOOM and other well-known video game franchises.🇪🇸 La fundación de ID Software: John Carmack y Tom Hal querían encontrar una forma de poder disfrutar de juegos de plataformas lateralVideogames Curiosities
