The new Fyrgen podcast concludes the lengthy conversation between Eros and I about the worldly and spiritual vitality of Tolkien's work. It's long - very long. I won't apologise for that because anyone who truly senses the significance in Tolkien's work will welcome a thorough exploration. It's the sort of 'content' I myself crave.It's not long for the sake of being long, and there's no 'filler' conversation. It's long despite our best attempts at being concise, and even at times truncating a talking point to move onto the next. New lyre, crafted for Dan Capp of Wolcensmen/The Fyrgen. Sitka Spruce Toredo floatlog soundboard on Black Walnut body. This type of soundboard naturally has holes caused by woodworms, a type of mullusk found in the Pacific Ocean. The back is bookmatched Black Walnut. Sides are bookmatched and steam bent, with kirfing for structural support. The end tailpiece anchor is ancient walrus ivory, the bridge is mammoth ivory. This lyre also features guitar tuning pegs rather than zither pins, eliminating the need for a separate tuning key. This also makes tuning more precise and consistent. The strings are Aquila "nylgut" harp strings from Italy.

Some of you may have noticed that prices have risen considerably over the last two years, at the same time wages have remained stagnant, the number of available jobs has radically reduced thanks to technology, automation and the beginning of AI.Our national debt rises by approximately £5000 every second and this government will do nothing to stop that.We have nearly half the population in receipt of one benefit or another and a diminishing group of people paying tax to fund everything.Legal and illegal immigration is still through the roof destroying everything in its wake.In the next 5 years the shit is going to hit the fan.The government, whoever that maybe at the time is going to do what it has to do in order to hold off mass civil disorder. It is going to become overtly dictatorial, it will strip away any remaining freedoms we still cling to and it will impose restrictions

Today marks the 25th anniversary of my awakening as a conspiracy realist. I came home from college early that day, turned on the TV, and watched the chaos unfold. I watched this female reporter declare, live on BBC news, that the WTC 7 building had collapsed whilst it still stood behind her.But the biggest red flag for me on the day, when I really didn't yet know just how deceptive the MSM and western governments were, was seeing aerial footage of the Pentagon with claims that it had been hit by an aeroplane, yet (as I recall) there was no sign of even the remnants of a plane; just miscellaneous marks of a crash/explosion.A few hours after the (false flag) attack, Benjamin Netanyahu was interviewed on TV and seemed to know all the motives and outcomes of this event. He declared that air travel would never be the same again, and it wasn't.

A superb analysis here of J.R.R. Tolkien's worldview, as deduced from his works.I myself could not feel more aligned with this thinking. I'm often accused of being a defeatist because I don't believe in a political solution or that our folkdoms can be fully restored. I think a sudden mass-awakening is unlikely. What I do believe, with every ounce of my being, is that regardless of the decline, we (those who are capable) are here to (sub)create as much beauty, honour and goodness as possible; to nurture the Flame Imperishable. To a materialist, this might seem like a futile, thankless task, but there's a profound reason that some are instinctively drawn towards acts of beauty.

Here's why I bang on about smartphones...I went to a gig recently with a friend. I bought tickets through Ticketmaster, and the confirmation email said my tickets would be available in their app. I contacted customer support to explain that I don't have a smartphone. They responded saying that I could go to the help desk at the venue, with ID, proof of purchase and my payment card to get the tickets.So on the night, I did just that, but the person on the desk panicked, saying that this wasn't possible as they don't have a printer. I said: "So what are you going to do? How are you going to handle it?" I enjoyed making her sweat for a few moments until she asked my friend if they have a smartphone.
