Straight from the source
Official Telegram site and downloads
The apps for every platform and the beta builds — plus the other addresses people usually have to hunt for: where a bug goes, where the contests run, where the jobs are, and which channels belong to Telegram itself.
Every link goes straight to telegram.org, t.me or an app store — no intermediate pages, no mirrors. All of them are Telegram's own addresses save for one row in the beta section, a community channel, which says so. We rehost nothing and are not affiliated with Telegram.

Changes and prices
Telegram changes
Our datamine: every half hour we diff the API schema, the localization strings and the build feeds — and print what moved. New methods and features show up here before the announcements.

The useful addresses
Beta builds
Features land in the beta weeks before the release and are tested less — that is the whole trade. Each platform hands them out its own way, and the iPhone has no public beta at all right now: its link lands on the App Store.
- Public beta APK, Android
installs over the ordinary app, no store required
- @TAndroidBeta
the channel that publishes the Android beta builds and what went into them
- Telegram Desktop beta
Windows, Windows on ARM, Linux and macOS — the files sit on the changelog page
- Native macOS client beta, .dmg
a fixed address that always serves the newest build
- @macswift
the tester chat for the native macOS client: its pinned message carries the same beta link, and the chat itself is where that beta's bugs go, tagged #crash, #bug and the like
- @macos_beta_updates_files
a notice for every new macOS beta build
- @macos_stable_updates_files
the same for the macOS release builds
- @tgbeta
a community channel rather than Telegram's own: it digs through each fresh beta build and says what turned up, earlier and in more detail than the official announcement
Bugs and suggestions
Telegram runs its own place for reports and ideas, with voting and answers from the team. A comment in somebody else's channel never reaches it.
- bugs.telegram.org
bugs and feature requests for the apps, searchable before you file
- telegram.org/support
support for account questions
- @BotSupport
questions about bots and the Bot API
- @SpamBot
account limits: why, and for how long
- @notoscam
reporting an impersonating account or channel
- Bug Bounty
vulnerabilities — paid, and not through the public tracker
- telegram.org/faq
start here: half the questions are answered already
Contests and jobs
Telegram hires through competitions: the contests are open to everyone, and the team is picked from those who finish them.
- contest.com
the contest platform: briefs, submitted entries and prize money
- @contest
the channel where new contests are announced
- telegram.org/jobs
open positions and what they ask for
- @jobs_bot
the bot applications go through
- translations.telegram.org
translating the interface — open to anyone
Official channels and bots
Telegram announces its updates inside Telegram. Everything else, this site's own channel included, is a retelling.

What Telegram is
A messenger launched by the brothers Nikolai and Pavel Durov in August 2013. Conversations live in the cloud, so one account opens on a phone, a desktop and a browser at once and the history is not tied to a device. Secret chats are a separate mode with end-to-end encryption: they exist only on the two devices where they were started.
A platform grew on top of the messaging. Channels broadcast to any number of subscribers; groups hold up to 200,000 members; bots and Mini Apps run inside the client with nothing to install; Instant View opens an article from an outside site without loading the page.
Money inside the platform means Stars for digital goods in Mini Apps, the Premium subscription, channel advertising through ads.telegram.org, and the Fragment auction, where usernames and collectible +888 numbers are sold. The TON wallet and payments live in the same client.
Telegram's clients are open source and its App Store and Google Play builds are reproducible: the GitHub code can be built and compared against what is on the phone. The server side is closed.
What all of it costs — the subscription, the Stars packages, the internal TON and Stars rates and the store-versus-Fragment gap — we tally from Telegram's server data on the Telegram prices page.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this an official Telegram page?
- No. gramnews.org is an independent publication with no ties to Telegram. This is a directory: every link goes straight to telegram.org, t.me, core.telegram.org or an app store, and we rehost nothing.
- Where is it safe to download Telegram from?
- From the platform's own store or from telegram.org. Telegram's apps are open source and its App Store and Google Play builds are reproducible: they can be rebuilt from the GitHub code and compared. Installers from download aggregators pass no such check.
- Where do I get a Telegram beta build?
- On Android, through the public APK on telegram.org; the builds are announced in the @TAndroidBeta channel. Telegram Desktop keeps its beta files on its changelog page, the native macOS client has a fixed mac-updates.telegram.org address, and its bugs go to the @macswift tester chat. There is no public iPhone beta at the moment.
- Where do bug reports and feature requests go?
- To bugs.telegram.org, Telegram's own platform, searchable before you file. Bot questions go to @BotSupport, account limits are explained by @SpamBot, and a security vulnerability goes through the Bug Bounty programme rather than the public tracker.
- How do people join the Telegram team?
- Through the contests. The briefs and entries are on contest.com, new rounds are announced in the @contest channel, open positions are listed on telegram.org/jobs, and applications go through @jobs_bot.
