Gram News (https://gramnews.org) is an independent publication covering Telegram and the TON blockchain. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
1. What we collect
- Technical data. Which pages were opened, in which language, and where the visit came from — counted by us, on our own server, with no third-party counter involved.
- The visitor count. To tell one reader from another within a single day, your IP address and browser string are turned into a one-way hash together with a salt that is created once a day and destroyed the next. The IP address itself is never stored, and once the salt is gone yesterday's rows can no longer be matched to any address. Separately, IP addresses appear in the server's operational logs, which exist to guard against abuse and are kept briefly.
- Cookies and local storage. Used to remember your interface language and theme preference. No cookie is used to count traffic — which is why the site carries no consent banner.
- Telegram login data. If you sign in as an editor via Telegram Login, we receive your public Telegram ID, username, and profile photo — solely to verify access to editorial tools.
2. How we use it
Data is used to serve the site, maintain language editions, guard against abuse, and understand which content resonates with readers. We do not sell personal data to third parties or use it for targeted advertising.
3. Storage and transfer
Data is stored on the infrastructure that powers the site. Access to editorial data (Telegram IDs of authorized editors) is limited to the project team.
4. Third-party services
The site may embed content and widgets from third parties (Telegram, TON, market data providers). Those services may collect data under their own privacy policies.
5. Your rights
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, request deletion of data tied to your editor account, or ask us about our practices via our Telegram channel.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
