Saint-André Cathedral in the city of Bordeaux, France. 🇫🇷A striking example of Gothic architecture, its construction spanned from the 12th to the 14th century.Major events in European history unfolded within the cathedral's walls. In 1137, the famous Eleanor of Aquitaine married the future King Louis VII of France here, and in 1615, Louis XIII wed Anne of Austria.In the background on the left, the famous Pey-Berland Tower is visible. It was built in the 15th century about 20 meters away from the cathedral itself. This was done intentionally so that the vibrations from the heavy bells (the largest of which weighs 11 tons) would not damage the fragile structures of the main building. Today, a gilded statue of Our Lady of Aquitaine stands at the top of the tower.Proud milk drinkers

Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, is a well-known Scottish residence of the British royal family.The estate was purchased in 1852 by Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria.
