السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Q. Does anyone have any information on saying, “bless you” to non-Muslims upon sneezing In this case, family membersUstaadh Abu Khadeejah: Wa-alaikumus-salām-wa-rahmatullāhi-wa-barakātuhu.A. That is not from the Sunnah. The Sunnah is to say to a non-Muslim who sneezes:يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ‘May Allah guide you and rectify your condition.’Proof: “The Jews used to sneeze in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ, hoping that he would say to them, ‘May Allah have mercy upon you (Yarḥamukallāh)’ Instead, he would say: ‘May Allah guide you and rectify your condition.’”References: Sunan Abī Dāwūd, no. 5038; Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī, no. 2739.

    Q. Hope you’re doing well Just wanted to ask related van cleef jewellery are we allowed to wear itUstaadh Abu Khadeejah: A. Avoid this jewellery.“A value dear to the Maison, luck has been a perennial guiding light for Van Cleef & Arpels, inspiring some of its most iconic creations. Four-leaf clover motifs first appeared in the Maison’s archives as early as 1906, embellishing select creations over the years alongside other symbols of good fortune, including wooden talismans, charms, and benevolent fairies. Jacques Arpels, the nephew of the founding couple and an avid collector, would often pick four-leaf clovers in his backyard, offering them to his employees as good luck charms.”(Source: Van Cleef website)

    Q. My wife and I argue a lot. In a state of rage I pronounced divorce by saying “I divorce you”. Is this counted? I regret what I did. On other occasions, we’ve argued. And I’ve said: “Ok, I’ll will divorce you then.” Or she would say: “I’ve had enough, divorce me!” And I’ve responded: “Ok, I will.” I intended sometime in the future, I will divorce this difficult woman.Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah: A. 1. The divorce in rage is not valid. 2. The rest are not explicit statements of divorce. 3. Make tawbah. And control your anger before Allah punishes you both.Read this:https://abukhadeejah.com/is-a-divorce-valid-if-the-husband-pronounced-it-in-a-state-of-anger/

    Q. If I go for umrah from the UK and want to do another Umrah later; can I go to masjid Aishah and make another Umrah?Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah: A. Do not perform multiple Umrahs after your first Umrah, it is not reported in the Sunnah or from the Sahābah. Instead, spend your time in the Haram, praying the prayers behind the Imam, reciting the Book of Allah, performing tawāf, making Du’ā and busying yourselves with dhikr. My Simple ʿUmrah Guide has an entire section titled:“Performing Repeated ʿUmrahs for Oneself or Others whilst in Makkah.” Read page 38.Important distinction: the incident of ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها going to at-Tanʿīm is authentic, but this should not be used as evidence for making repeated ʿUmrahs after an already-completed ʿUmrah, because her circumstance was exceptional: she had been prevented from completing the ʿUmrah she originally entered iḥrām for because of

Asalamu aleikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu. I have a 21 year old daughter who I have been waking up for fajr since she became 8 years, she is a heavy sleeper and I have talked to her several times about making means to wake up easily for Fajr, But she does not take my advice.. she sleeps late and this the main reason why she cannot wake up, another reason is laziness; because she has it in her head that she will be woken up by me anyway,so she is not bothered. She sets the alarm but never wakes up to it. What should I do? Is she still my responsibility that when I don’t wake her I get a sin?or should I leave her to it as she is an adult. What advise do you have for brothers about women who going through this difficult period of life? Many women suffer psychologically and physically yet brothers seem to have no clue or education on this huge matter that affects women. Also i have never heard any of the teachers try to educate brothers on this matter. Is it fair to expect women to deal with this alone without support or understanding from her husband? Or male members of the family etc.Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah: Wa-alaikumus-salām-wa-rahmatullāhi-wa-barakātuhu.Afflictions of pre-menstrual stress, perimenopause and menopause itself are real, and should not be ignored. Assalamu alaikum Sheikh,I would like to ask about the Islamic ruling regarding my mother’s estate and what I am required to do as one of her Muslim children. My mother was not Muslim when she made her will. In the will, she stated that her assets should be divided equally between her three children: myself, my sister and my brother. She later converted to Islam, two years before she died but unfortunately did not change or update her UK will before she passed away. In her last years she was unwell and didn’t return to Wales, and lived between our homes in Saudi Arabia then finally went to Libya with my sister where she is buried. All three of us are Muslims for the past 25-30 years. My understanding is that, after her death, the estate should be distributed according to the Islamic rules of inheritance, and I want to make sure that my share is determined according to Shariah rather

Assalaamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Is this type of transaction permissable? I've read "The Grave Crime of Usury and Interest" but I'm still unsure.A sister asks a goldsmith to redesign a gold pendant she owns. She's informed she will have to pay for an extra amount of gold needed for the job. She's given a price estimate, to be paid upon completion/pickup. There's no deposit.Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah: Wa-alaikumus-salām-wa-rahmatullāhi-wa-barakātuhu.Pay for the extra gold once you’ve agreed to add it to the existing gold. Pay for it there and then. Let him show you the extra gold when you purchase. Take possession of it. Then give it to him to add it to the jewellery for amendments.

بسمالله الرحمان الرحيمAsalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathuI am in the process of marriage talks with a brother, my guardians have spoken to his references, some of which are the elder well known brothers of our Salafi community in Birmingham. The references all came back as good and positive, the brother is Salafi but his family is hizbi, I have had a meeting with him and we are both happy to continue however his family hosted us and we hosted them and his mother wishes to continue this practice until we get married, my mother has raised this as an issue as the family is not Salafi. The brother has also mentioned that when his parents reach old age he (as the only son) he will need to live with them and take care of them.My situation is I have been looking for marriage for a long time and I am in an age bracket where not many brother my age grew up with or have a Salafi

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhuCan you please pass this question to Abu Khadeejah hafidhahullah: “Is it allowed to wear this kind of saree, which has full sleeves and covers everything?”Some said that it's not allowed since it's also worn by hindu goddesses. But what I think it's a major part of culture as well...since there's no designated dress for anyone inside home expect it being proper. That's why I want to know better. And I can't find anything related to it .Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah: Wa-alaikumus-salām-wa-rahmatullāhi-wa-barakātuhu.It seems to me that the custom of the saaree is the norm among the Muslims of Bangladesh and is not considered a symbol of Hindus in that land — and it has been worn for centuries by the Muslims of Bengal. So, if it fulfils the conditions of adequately covering the women, I do not see it to be a problem as an indoor garment. Allāh

I wish to marry a Muslim man who is already married Alhamdulillah he has good character, prays 5 times and fasts. I do not wish to do haram I feel it is heading towards that I want to make it halal. My family uncles and brother refuses this marriage for cultural reasons and because they are concerned about what people will say. They will never let the marriage happen said i will suffer in life and will not be happy with me. I am worried that approaching my father and telling my mum brother sister and uncles directly because it will cause serious family problems. I want to know whether his refusal could constitute ʿadl and, if so, what the correct procedure is for my wali and nikahUstaadh Abu Khadeejah: Wa-alaikumus-salām-wa-rahmatullāhi-wa-barakātuhu.This man

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله. حفظكم الله. My mother is one of the inheritors of a certain house in Pakistan. Years ago, one of my relatives, who isnt an inheritor, gave my mother a sum of money saying it was advance deposit (token money) to buy the house, knowing that the house didnt belong to her alone. My mother agreed without asking/informing the other heirs and took the money from him. (This happened verbally and wasnt documented, nor was the house transferred into his name.)Years later she realized that what she did was wrong, and now she wants to return the money she took from him, but the man refuses and says he wont take it back unless my mother pays an additional high amount (which is much more than what he had given her).My question is, what should be done with his money that he refuses to take? Should my mother keep it with her for the rest her life as amaanah, or should she
