❗AQIS has issued a statement through As-Sahab Media addressing the 18 September attack on the Kohat Police Lines.The group acknowledged that a mosque was struck during the assault but said attacks on mosques, markets and other public places are impermissible and harmful to its stated objectives. AQIS argued that militants should have limited their operations to what it describes as “anti-Sharia” security institutions.The statement does not claim the Kohat operation and does not identify the perpetrators.The development follows IMP’s claim of responsibility for the attack, while TTP and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar have separately denied involvement.
