The release notes for Telegram Desktop 7.2.7 from September 7 state «Fix crashes with invalid lottie files», and for 7.2.8 from September 10, «Fix some more crashes with bad lottie files»: one iteration was not enough.
This is the same file type that the crash sticker used — TGS is compressed Lottie. Telegram banned those who distributed corrupt files.
There is no mention of mobile clients in the release notes.
Orca, trombone, treasure chest, and hairy creature — eight Unicode 17 icons are already in the Telegram Desktop code. They are not yet available in the released version.
