📣 Descendants by zone 境 📆 25, 26, 27 September 📌42WS Black Box, 42 Waterloo Stzone 境 presents Descendants, a psycho-spiritual reimagination of Kuo Pao Kun's Descendants of the Eunuch Admiral (1995). Developed since 2024 through a closed-door work-in-progress in 2025, the production brings together theatre, movement, sound and visual language to explore what we surrender of ourselves for security, status and belonging — and what happens when we stop.Descendants marks zone 境's debut full-length production since the collective's founding in 2024 by Artistic Director Ang Kia Yee. ✅ ARH x CGH Performing Arts Medicine Panel Recap!From trying SOVT straw exercises 🥤🫧 to relaxing with a body scan, everyone got hands-on as we explored ways to care for our voices and hearing 🗣️Here are some takeaways to put into practice:1️⃣ Protect your hearing, it’s irreplaceable! Exposure to 100dB+ can cause permanent hearing damage in just 15 mins. Prioritise hearing protection, like earplugs, when working around loud instruments and places.2️⃣ Budget your voice like money Think about where your voice is being “spent” throughout the day. After a full day of rehearsals, reconsider going to places where you have to speak loudly.3️⃣ Know your red flags 🚩 Track how your voice & hearing respond to schedules, stress and hormonal changes.
