What a feedback bot is

A feedback bot lets people reach you in Telegram without seeing your personal account. Someone opens the bot and writes a message, it arrives to you, you answer by reply, and the answer goes back to their chat with the bot. To the sender, the other side is the bot; your profile, username and phone number stay hidden.

The template suits a channel author, a blogger, a freelancer, an event organiser or anyone who takes messages from strangers. Open DMs collect spam quickly, while a bot gives a separate entrance that you can shut for a specific person with one command.

The bot works whether or not you're online: messages wait in your chat with the bot, and you can answer later. The person gets your answer with a notification, like any other Telegram message, so they don't need to check email or return to a website.

How to make a feedback bot for free

The bot is created from this page in one tap. The button opens Telegram's own «Create bot» window, where you confirm a name and a username. The bot appears on your account, and gramnews hosts it, so there is no server, no code and no sign-up on a website.

The usual route of creating a bot in BotFather, copying its token and pasting it into a builder is not needed here. You never handle the token yourself and never have to hand it to anyone.

The bot is tied to your Telegram account, and the template only sets the greeting and the confirmation text. Both can be rewritten right after creation in the texts section of the admin.

How to answer a message through the bot

Every incoming message arrives with a ticket number and the sender's name. To answer, reply to that message as usual and the bot delivers it to the person. You can answer with text, a photo, a voice message or a file, and the sender's attachments arrive in full too.

After sending, the person gets a confirmation; in the template it reads «Thanks. Message passed on, the answer will come here». You can change the text in the admin. If someone sends spam, /ban as a reply to their message blocks them in the bot, and /unban restores access.

Ticket numbers help once messages add up: they show who wrote what and which ones already have an answer. If the person writes again, the new message arrives the same way and the conversation continues by reply. You can answer from a phone or a computer, since everything happens in ordinary Telegram chats.

Where to put the bot link

A link like t.me/your_bot goes into a channel description, a pinned post, a profile bio, a portfolio site, an email signature or a printed QR code. People tap it, land in the bot and immediately see a greeting asking them to write.

That way messages from your audience collect in one place and don't mix with your personal chats. When there are many, they can go to a separate group, as described below.

For a channel, a pinned post with a short line such as «Questions, ideas and ad requests go to the bot» plus the link works well. For a portfolio site, a «Message me on Telegram» button on the contacts page does the job. The bot link doesn't change, so it can be printed once on a business card or packaging.

Messages to your DMs or to a group

By default messages come to your DMs from the bot. In the admin you can pick a group instead, and then any member can answer there. If the group has Topics (forum) turned on, each person gets their own topic: write in it to answer, /close closes the topic, /ban blocks the person.

A helper can also join without a group: an invite link from the admin makes them an operator, so they get messages in their DMs and answer by reply. The sender still sees only the bot.

Settings, stats and broadcasts

The bot's first message to its owner is the admin panel; /admin brings it back later. There you edit the greeting and the reply after a message, switch the bot's language between Russian and English, and see how many people have started the bot, how many were active in seven days, how many are banned and how many messages came in this month.

A broadcast sends a text, photo or video to everyone who started the bot, with a preview and a confirmation before it goes. To add screens with buttons, use «Edit with AI» and describe the bot in words, or the visual node editor on the site. Free bots carry a «Made with @catalogue_app» line under their messages.

Stats show how many people actually write through the bot and how active they are, while a broadcast lets you tell them about a new issue, an event or changed contacts without a separate post. If the bot serves several purposes, say questions and ad requests, add menu screens with buttons so people pick what they are writing about.

How to launch

1. Tap «Create bot» and Telegram opens its bot creation window.
2. Confirm the name and username; the bot appears on your account and sends you its admin panel.
3. Optionally adjust the greeting and the confirmation text in /admin.
4. Put the bot link in your channel, profile or website.
5. Answer incoming messages by reply, and the answer goes to the person from the bot.
