This week for Top Tip Tuesday, we’re delving in to nxFlowfield in NeXus for Blender, running through basic settings and workflow tips whilst we create a noisy fluid flow effect.Beginning with a spline and a basic emitter, we introduce the nxFlowfield to start adding dynamic particle movement, walking through the basics of this modifier and initially exploring the default Radial layer before replacing this with an Along Spline layer in Steer Mode to start building our desired result.With more detail added using Voxel Size and Preview Density, we introduce two more layers – Turbulence and To Spline to procedurally generate the force field alongside the existing Along Spline layer, dialling in the individual settings and exploring how Falloffs influence the particle movement.
