TWO SEEDS. TWO KINGDOMS. ONE VICTORIOUS KING. The Bible begins with a war. A serpent. A promise. A coming Seed. I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel. Genesis 3:15 The Hebrew word zeraʿ, “seed,” can function collectively, referring to descendants as a whole, but it can also narrow to an individual representative. That matters. Genesis 3:15 gives us both a continuing conflict between two lines and an ultimate confrontation between the serpent and one victorious Seed. There is the serpent’s seed. There is the woman’s Seed. There is ongoing enmity. But the climax comes through One: He shall crush your head. From that moment onward, Scripture traces two kingdoms. One rebels against God. The other belongs to the promised King. Cain rises against Abel. Pharaoh oppresses Israel.

And the King reigns. Psalm 72 ends where history is headed: “Blessed be YHWH God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things. And blessed be His glorious name forever: and let the whole earth be filled with His glory.” Psalm 72:18–19 Seed. Scepter. Son of David. Son of Man. King of kings. The serpent may rage. But Scripture also traces the identity of the promised Victor. The promise begins with a Seed. Then the Seed receives a Scepter: “A Star shall come out of Jacob; a Scepter shall rise out of Israel.” Numbers 24:17 Then YHWH makes covenant with David: “I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.” 2 Samuel 7:13 Now the progression sharpens: Seed → Scepter → Son of David. Psalm 2 then reveals the rebellion of the opposing kingdom: “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against YHWH and against His Anointed.” Psalm 2:2 But YHWH answers: “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.” Psalm 2:6 The nations rage. The King is installed. Then Psalm 72 shows what happens when that King reigns: “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the River unto the ends of the earth.”Be Ready For The Rapture
