If the first few seconds of your video is not interesting, most people won’t watch it. They’ll scroll. No matter how good the rest of the video is.I see some of you still starting your videos with “Hi guys, welcome to my page…” or just standing there without saying anything for the first 5 seconds. That alone is enough to kill the video.The hook is everything.Try this instead: If you’re telling a story, start with the most shocking part first. If you’re teaching something, just say “Most people don’t know this…” and drop the bomb. If it’s a vlog, show the wildest or most emotional moment first.Once you get their attention, then you can explain whatever you want. But don’t waste the beginning.Go back to your last 5 videos. Before now, you had to hit 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours before you could apply for monetization. But now they’ve reduced it.Here’s the new requirement: • Just 500 subscribers • 3 public uploads in the last 90 days • And either 3,000 watch hours OR 3 million Shorts viewsThis means if you’re posting YouTube Shorts regularly and getting good views, you can start earning soon.Here’s the cheat: Start posting vertical videos (under 1 minute) consistently.
