Rose update!Telegram added buttons to their rich messages earlier this week - so naturally, Rose has been updated to support these too! As a reminder; to send a rich message, use the rich text editor (which you can open by selecting "article" in the attachements tab).Other new features: - Filters+blocklists now have improved matching logic when dealing with languages that don't rely on spaces to separate words, such as chinese and japanese. This should make Rose more accessible to all these countries! - Pins from other bots no longer get logged; this is automated noise and doesn't help understand your admins. - Community joins are now included under the "join" cleanservice option. No changes are needed for this setting to be updated. - Improved the handling of connections and simplified some connection errors. Rose update!Telegram recently had a big update introducing rich messages; messages with enhanced formatting options. They then added a new rich message editor, which allows users to send and format their messages properly.This is all very cool; but the real beauty would be if they could be used in Rose. A bit different today - we have a @RoseClone_bot update!After telegram's recent addition of Managed Bots, I thought it only made sense for this to be integrated with the Rose Cloner. And while there, I figured it was high time for UI refresh to fit with telegram's standards!So, we now have: - A brand new UI for the cloning interface. - Support for using Telegram's managed bots, simplifying API token management for your bots. - And to round things up, I added two new bot types for the Rose Core plan - you can now choose between having your clone in 5, 10, or 20 groups! Hopefully this should help with people looking to moderate larger communities which span more groups.For existing Rose Clone owners, you'll notice i added some new helpful commands to keep track of which groups are using your bot - just try to /start in PM with your bot, and they'll be listed there.If you face anyMarie/Rose News

Rose update!Following last week's update, we've had some feature requests of things people would like to see with bot-to-bot workflows and reactions. So, here we go: - A new outsidereaction lock, to stop people who aren't in your groups from reacting to messages in your groups. As soon as an outsider reacts, it just... gets removed. Easy! - A new advanced feature to control bot-to-bot interactions. This allows other bots (AI, automation, etc) to run Rose commands in a safe and controlled way. We have three options available for the bot2bot command - off, admin, and all. It can be used to determine which bots Rose will respond to commands to, and reduces the risk of a user circumventing your group's protections by using bots. If Rose responds to a command, she'll ask an admin to review this command - adding an extra layer of protection. Or, you can toggle the /bot2botskipreview commandMarie/Rose News

Rose update!With telegram's latest update, Rose now has some handy new features to take advantage of - so I've gone ahead and done exactly that!- Rose can now see and respond to messages sent by other bots. That's right - if a telegram bot is sending messages you don't want, Rose can now delete those messages. Similarly, other bots can now interact with Rose's notes - and if you add the {allow_bot} filling to Rose's filters, those will work too! - Add a new reaction lock type. You guessed it; it stop users from reacting. And if they do, it deletes their reaction! - We now also have a guestbot lock type - which will stop users from using telegram's new guest bots. These can be allowlisted as usual. I expect spammers to start using these soon - might be good to lock if you know you won't want anyone using them. - If a user tries to use a guest bot to circumvent locks or blocklists -Marie/Rose News

Rose update!Telegram released their latest bot api version a few days ago - meaning we have some new features to play with! - You can now save Premium Emoji in Rose's messages! 🎉 - Buttons now support different styles - "primary", "danger" and "success". These are shown as blue, red, and green buttons, respectively. With this update, Rose now allows you to display these button styles by using the new buttonurl#<style> syntax. For example, you can set a green success button with: A Button - The CleanService module has been updated to support some of the new service messages that bots receive.On top of that, we have a few more features from Rose's side: - Log channels can now only be set up by the group owner, to help keep crucial settings logged. - Using the leavefed command in PM now uses the correct chat name. - Filters will now also match on dice triggers. - Federations no longerMarie/Rose News

Hi all,Two weeks since my last post about working on Rose's performance. Uneventful for Rose, but very eventful for me, as I've been hard at work adding new optimisations in the background to fix any bottlenecks that had creeped in! We now have: - a faster blocklist matcher - improved caching logic - tuned database/cache connections - and more to come; still have some things I'd like to mark as done! And all the changes have given me the opportunity to add some more performance metrics, so it'll be easier for me to spot where issues come from in the future. Really happy with the progress so far 🎉As part of these changes, I released a small update to Rose earlier today, which now has Rose asking users to do a one-time verification of new groups via a webapp before Rose starts working. Hi all, My apologies for anyone who had Rose send unwanted error messages in their groups today. A recent configuration change to improve roses handling of telegram updates and improve stability caused Rose to hit a connection limit trying to connect to its cache - which was not the goal.I've now fixed the issue, and expect Rose to be working as usual again. I'm hopeful that these new changes will help avoid the delays that have been occurring over the last few days, and keep Rose snappy. Hi all, Telegram seems to be having some issues again, showing a large spike of timeout errors.We're investigating, but ultimately it doesn't look like there's much we can do other than wait for telegram to recover.If you're using Rose in commercial groups, my best advice is to get a custom instance, as the dedicated bots will be much less subject to telegram's limits.Thank you for your patience!Telegram has recovered, everything should be fine again. I'm going to keep investigating to see what else can be done to reduce these issues.Marie/Rose News

Rose update!We're excited to add a new feature which we expect will be very helpful in fighting some common spam messages; namely, custom emoji blocklists! Similar to how you can already blocklist stickerpacks, you can now also blocklist emojipacks. To do this, simply reply to a message containing custom emoji, and use the /addblocklist emojipack:<> syntax. This will blocklist every custom emoji pack in that message, protecting you from further spam.Other updates: - Also added support for allowlisting custom emoji when emojicustom has been locked. Same as for blocklists, simply use the /allowlist emojipack:<> syntax! - Updated the /help command to have a button to the docs website at missrose.org/docs - hopefully the search function can be helpful! - Significant performance improvements to help minimise recent telegram blips. - Improve performance for the cleanwelcome feature. - ImprMarie/Rose News

Telegram has been experiencing some issues for the last few hours, causing delayed responses from Rose, due to the high load of users.We're monitoring and looking into possible solutions, but it looks like the issue is in telegrams end. If you're running a large monetised community, I can recommend getting a custom instance; these private clones of Rose won't have any issues with load!Rose has been running smoothly for the last hour - everything should be good to go again!Marie/Rose News

Rose update!- Added support for a new "checklist" lock, to delete checklists from telegram's latest update. - Updated cleanservice to handle the new checklist service messages. - Added support for a new "cashtags" lock, which deletes messages containing what telegram calls cashtags; they look like this: $CASH. - Improved the zalgo lock to avoid some edge cases when used with emoji - Improved blocklists to also match various similar characters, such as cyrillic letters which can be confused with latin letters. See followup post; use the lookalike blocklist prefix to match words which look like they might match, but use mixed scripts! - Usual bugfixes and improvements. - Updated translations.Enjoy :) And if you'd like to customise Rose's picture to fit your community, come get your own custom instance!
