قال ابن القيم رحمه الله : ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said:فإن للصدقة تأثيرا عجيبا في دفع أنواع البلاء ولو كانت من فاجر أو من ظالم بل من كافر، indeed, charity has an amazing effect in warding off various kinds of affliction, even if it is given by a sinful person, an oppressor, or even a disbeliever.فإن الله تعالى يدفع بها عنه أنواعا من البلاء، وهذا أمر معلوم عند الناس خاصتهم وعامتهم، for through it, Allah the exalted wards off various kinds of affliction from him. this is something well known among the people, both the elite and the common folk.وأهل الأرض كلهم مقرون به لأنهم جربوه and all the people of the earth acknowledge this because they have experienced it.الوابل الصيب ص٣١درر وفوائد

أَتى أُمَّ الدَّرداءِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنها رَجُلٌ فَقالَ: a man came to umm al-Dardāʾ رضي الله عنها and said:إِنَّ بي داءً مِن أَعظَمِ الدَّاءِ، فَهَل عِندَكِ لَهُ دَواءٌ؟ “i have an illness that is among the greatest of illnesses. do you have a cure for it?”قالَت: وَما ذاكَ؟ she said, “and what is that?”قالَ: إِنِّي أَجِدُ قَسوَةً في القَلبِ. he said, “i find a hardness in my heart.”فَقالَت: «أَعظَمُ الدَّاءِ داؤُكَ: she said, “your illness is indeed among the greatest of illnesses:عُدِ المَرضى، visit the sick,وَاتبَعِ الجَنائِزَ، follow the funeral processions,درر وفوائد

على طالب العلم ان يتعاهد طهارة قلبه it is on the student of knowledge to pledge to take care of the purity of his heart,فإذا وجد نجاسة نفاها؛ and if he finds an impurity, he rejects it;فإن اللّٰه ﷻ لايضع ميراثَ النبوَّة في قلبٍ مُتنجِّس. for Allah does not place the inheritance of prophecy in an impure heart.درر وفوائد

أهمية طلب العلم للمرأة The Importance of Seeking Knowledge for Women 🌸وفرض على كل امرأة النفقة في كل ما يخصها كما ذلك فرض على الرجال It is obligatory for every woman to become knowledgeable in what is specific to her, just like that is obligatory on the men.ففرض على ذات المال منهن معرفة أحكام الزكاة so it is obligatory on she who has wealth of them, to know the rulings of zakāt,وفرض عليهن كلهن معرفة أحكام الطهارة والصلاة والصوم what it is obligatory on all of them is to know the rulings of purification and prayer and fastingوما يحل وما يحرم من المآكل والمشارب والملابس وغير ذلك and what is permissible and impermissible of food and drink and clothing and other than that,كالرجال ولا فرق like it is upon men, with no difference.ولو تفقهت امرأة في علوم الديانة للزمنا قبول نذارتها and if a woman became knowledgeable in the sciences of the religion, it would be obligatoryدرر وفوائد

إذا لم تتكلَّم بكلمةٍ طيِّبةٍ، if you do not have a good word to say,فلا تتكلَّم بكلمةٍ خبيثةٍ؛ then do not speak an evil one.فالإمساكُ عن الكلمةِ الخبيثةِ صدقةٌ، for refraining from an evil word is an act of charity,كما أنَّ الكلمةَ الطَّيِّبةَ صدقةٌ، just as speaking a good word is an act of charity.وفي الحديث: and it is mentioned in the hadith:«من كان يُؤمنُ باللَّه واليوم الآخر فليقلْ خيرًا أو ليصمُتْ». “whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.”الشيخ صالح العصيمي حفظه اللهدرر وفوائد

a beautiful benefitIbn al-Qayyim رحمه الله says:“the hardship in abandoning familiar habits and customs is only found in the one who leaves them for other than Allah. as for the one who abandons them truthfully and sincerely for Allah from the depths of his heart, he does not find hardship in leaving them except at the very beginning for a brief moment, so that he may be tested: is he truthful in abandoning them or is he lying? If he remains patient through that hardship for a little while, it turns into sweetness.”Ibn Sīrīn said: “I heard Shurayh swear by Allah: no servant leaves something for the sake of Allah except that he finds something better in its place.”
