AASTU Hosts Japan–Africa Youth Program to Foster Cross-Cultural Exchange September 26, 2026 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ On September 24, 2026, Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) hosted the Japan–Africa Youth Program, bringing together 18 Japanese students and 18 AASTU students for cultural exchange and meaningful dialogue. The event featured Japanese calligraphy, Yukata displays, traditional dance, Ethiopian music, historical presentations, and a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony. In his opening remarks, Dr. Asrat Atsedeweyn president of AASTU highlighted the strong historical ties between Ethiopia and Japan, emphasizing the mutual benefits of their long-standing partnership. የመስቀል እና የኢሬቻ በዓላት አከባበር ሰላማዊ፣ አካታች እንዲሆን የሚያስችል ማህበረሰብ አቀፍ ውይይት ተካሄደመስከረም 14/2018 ዓ.ም ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ የፊታችን መስከረም 17 ቀን የሚከበረውን የመስቀል ደመራ በዓል እና ከመስቀል በዓል በኋላ የሚከበረው የኢሬቻ በዓል ሃይማኖታዊ አውዳቸውንና ባህላዊ ስርዓታቸውን በጠበቀ መልኩ በጋራ በመተባበር፣ በመረዳዳት እና የህብረተሰባችንን ሰላም አስቀድሞ ለማስጠበቅ የሚያስችል አጠቃላይ የማህበረሰብ ውይይት ተካሄዷል። በመርሃ-ግብሩ ላይ የ2019 ዓ.ም የመስቀል ደመራ እና የኢሬቻ በዓላት አከባበር ማስፈፀሚያ እቅድ ለተሳታፊዎች ግንዛቤ ለመፍጠርና ንቁ ተሳትፎን ለማረጋገጥ “መስቀል እና ኢሬቻ ለሃገራዊ መግባባትና ሰላም” በሚል መሪ ሃሳብ ሰፊ ማብራሪያና ገለፃ ተደርጓል። በውይይቱ እንደተገለጸው በዓላቱን በድምቀት ማክበር ብቻ ሳይሆን የህብረተሰቡን ሰላም መጠበቅ፣ ባህላዊ እሴቶችን ማሳደግ፣ ከተማችንን ከማናቸውም ስጋቶች ነፃ ማድረግ እና ለሌሎች አርዓያ የሚሆኑ የሰላም ስራዎችን ማከናወን ከእያንዳንዱ ዜጋ የሚጠበቅ ሃላፊነት መሆኑ ተገልጿል። በመርሃ-ግብሩ ላይ የዩኒቨርሲቲው ከፍተኛ አመራሮች እና የመንግስት ተወካዮች የተገኙ ሲሆን፣ የቀረበውን የውይይት ሃሳብ መሰረት አድርጎ የፓናል ውይይት ተካሂዶበታል። በውይይቱም ማህበረሰባችን አብሮነቱንና ሰላሙን ባረጋገጠ መልኩ በዓላቱን በድምቀት እንዲያከብርና ለሰላም ማስከበሩ ሃላፊነት የበኩሉን እንዲወጣ አቅጣጫ ተቀምጧል።

AASTU Hosts Training on Leading in the Age of AIAddis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU), in collaboration with the African Digital and Innovation Technology Academy (ADITA), hosted a half-day training entitled “Leading in the Age of AI: Skills, Ethics, and Transformation.” The training brought together university executives, directors, deans, and heads of Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to explore the opportunities, challenges, and ethical implications of artificial intelligence in leadership and institutional transformation. የአዲስ አበባ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ለተማሪዎች የመማሪያ ቁሳቁስ ድጋፍ አደረገ ጰጉሜ 4፤ 2018 ዓ.ም የአዲስ አበባ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ለ2019 ዓ.ም የትምህርት ዘመን የሚሆን የመማሪያ ቁሳቁስ ድጋፍ ለ200 ድጋፍ ለሚያስፈልጋቸው የአንደኛ ደረጃ ተማሪዎች አደረገ። በዚህ ድጋፍ ከአቃቂ ቃሊቲ ክፍለ ከተማ 120፣ ከኮዬ ፈጬ ክፍለ ከተማ 40 እና ከገላን ከተማ 40 በአጠቃላይ 200 ተማሪዎች ተጠቃሚ ሆነዋል። የዩኒቨርሲቲው ፕሬዝዳንት ዶ/ር አስራት አጸደወይን ድጋፉ ዩኒቨርሲቲው ከማኅበረሰቡ ጎን መሆኑን የሚያሳይ መሆኑን ገልጸው፣ በቀጣይም መሰል ድጋፎችና ትብብሮች እንደሚጠናከሩ አረጋግጠዋል። ድጋፉ በዩኒቨርሲቲው የምርምርና ቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር ም/ፕ ሥር በሚገኘው የማኅበረሰብ አሳታፊነት ዳይሬክቶሬት አስተባባሪነት ተካሂዷል።
