President Trump should use today’s address to the United Nations to make clear what America expects from the rest of the world and how we (America) intend to help secure peace in both Europe and in the Middle East. He must clearly define the objectives. Explain what must happen for the fighting to stop. Tell our allies, partners and friends what they must contribute and, Tell our adversaries what terms they must meet. American strength must serve an achievable outcome. Every military commitment carries a cost paid by our troops, their families, and the American people. The American people deserve honest answers about what we are asking the American people to sacrifice and why. We cannot keep handing the next generation endless wars we never define how to end.
