We have been working on a big project of ours for the last couple of months… I could probably say over 9 months. Hence we’ve been absent from the podcast and everything else. That project is finally here. It’s called History Brew and it’s our fiery first product. I would love for you guys to check it out, maybe you’ll like the idea, the coffee and of course everything that comes along. We would love to be able to build this up to the point where we are able to help donate to archaeological sites around the world that are in great need of funding in order to uncover and preserve our past. Check us out at historybrewcoffee.com

Who were the builders of Göbekli Tepe? The stones at Göbekli Tepe were raised before cities, before kings, before writing, and before the first great empires. That is the part that still feels wrong. The people who carved and moved these pillars were not supposed to be able to build something this ambitious. They had no palace bureaucracy behind them. No army of forced labor. No written plans. No known ruler whose name could be carved into the stone.Göbekli Tepe stands in southeastern Turkey, near the modern city of Şanlıurfa. Its oldest monumental enclosures date to the 10th millennium BC, more than 11,000 years ago.The site belongs to the world of hunter-gatherers at the edge of the Neolithic, when people in this region were beginning to experiment with settled life, plants, animals, and new ways of organizing themselves. The famous T-shaped pillars, some carved with foxes,

For generations, the story of civilization seemed settled. Humans first learned to farm. Farming created permanent settlements. Settlements eventually grew into cities and complex societies. That sequence became the foundation of how we understand human history. But Göbekli Tepe challenges that timeline in a fundamental way. More than 11,000 years ago, people who were still hunter-gatherers constructed massive stone pillars weighing several tons. They organized large labor forces, carved detailed symbolic reliefs, and built monumental ritual spaces. All of this happened before widespread agriculture existed. This raises an unsettling possibility. Perhaps complex social organization did not emerge because of farming. Perhaps it was belief, cooperation, and shared identity that brought people together first — and agriculture followed later as a consequence. If that is true, then
