Last night I had a very intense, vivid, and heart-trembling dream.I was on horseback at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485. I was on the side of Richard III. A very, very tall figure that looked like a black silhouette stood over me and fast, jumbled words entered into my head giving me battle tactics. I had two views: one through my eyes, one of a top-down battle layout.After hearing a trumpet sound, the tall black silhouette figure pushed me and my horse started sprinting menacingly fast and it felt like I was on autopilot.I rode straight to the key points of battle. It sounded like intense whistling wind flew past my ears and tunnel vision sent me straight to the enemy to save our side.Soon, the sky kept darkening. It would go from blue to grey and then flash black. A foreboding doom feeling kept washing over me and things started becoming more chaotic.I quickly rode overThe Chad Pastoralist

Lately I have been doing some light reading on the early settlement of the Colony of Virginia.It is fascinating and wonderful history. Especially learning about the English gentlemen merchants that had established themselves on the Colony.One such man was John Bolling (1676-1729). Bolling served multiple terms in the House of Burgesses and the Virginia General Assembly. He also founded the Bolling Hall plantation, accumulated much wealth as a merchant and had established himself as a well-respected gentleman in his community, serving as a vestryman for his parish and achieving the rank of major in the colonial militia.The Bollings were an English family descended from Robert Bolling, Esquire, who died in 1485. The father of John Bolling (1676-1729) was Robert Bolling (1646-1709) who founded the Bolling family of Virginia and bore the paternal arms of Bolling: Sable an inescutcheon
