🔥 Will Cocoon make a comeback?⚫️ Back in August, we wrote that Cocoon’s public network had effectively stopped working and that its code hadn’t been updated in quite a while. Almost two months later, new commits have appeared in one of the project’s forks. Judging by the changes, the developer is trying to tackle one of the biggest challenges in running large AI models: limited GPU memory.⚫️ For example, running GLM-5.3, one of the most powerful open-weight AI models, requires around 750 GB of VRAM. For comparison, an NVIDIA H100 — one of the most widely used data center GPUs for AI workloads — comes with just 80 GB.⚫️ In other words, running a model like this normally requires several expensive GPUs at once. But what if independent GPU server operators could pool their compute and run the model together? That’s exactly the idea now being explored in Cocoon.⚫️ Surprisingly, the work isn’t being done by Telegram, but by kdimentionaltree, one of the TON Core developers. So far, he has only managed to establish communication between virtual machines — distributed inference across multiple independent servers is not working yet.⚫️ We don’t know whether this work will ever make it into a finished product, but it’s still pretty interesting to see a TON Core developer working on Cocoon. It could be another sign that TON Core and Telegram are starting to work more closely together.@thedailyton

💀 What’s wrong with gram.org?⚫️ Today, the old placeholder page on gram.org was replaced by a full-fledged TON block explorer. Telegram has already made it the default explorer for viewing onchain transactions inside the app. That role previously belonged to Tonscan, and before that to Tonviewer from The Open Platform.⚫️ The community’s first reaction has been mixed. Users have already spotted plenty of visual issues and minor bugs, while parts of the interface look like they were hastily vibe-coded. Basically, not quite the level of polish people usually expect from Telegram products.⚫️ Interestingly, gram.org appears to have come as a surprise even to TON Core, despite the team being responsible for the smart contract behind Money. Petr Makhnev, a developer behind Acton, jokingly pointed out that features from their open-source Actonscan have already started showing up in other explorers — and now Telegram has launched an explorer of its own.⚫️ Our guess is that Telegram is gradually trying to reduce its reliance on third-party developers. Ahead of Money’s mass rollout, the company may want to move users onto its own infrastructure instead of giving extra exposure to external products. At least for now, we don’t see many other convincing reasons for launching yet another TON explorer.⚫️ Sure, gram.org looks rough around the edges and somewhat rushed. But that's hardly surprising — the official ton.org website also looks blatantly vibe-coded, and recent Telegram updates have been noticeably buggier. So maybe shipping half-baked products is gradually becoming the new meta?@thedailyton

💀 Telegram Money is live. So where’s the promised rollout?⚫️ It has already been several days since Telegram 13.0 was released, yet we still haven’t seen an official announcement for the anniversary update. Major Telegram releases usually come with a dedicated blog post. For some reason, that didn’t happen this time, even though Money is already available across all major platforms.⚫️ The wallet launch in its current form raises an obvious question. Back in the summer, Durov promised the biggest self-custodial wallet rollout in history, bringing it to more than a billion users. Fine, the deadline slipped. But where is the promised scale? Money is still hidden by default, and users have to rely on workarounds just to get access. According to the stats, only around 81,000 users have tried the wallet so far, with just about 800 new addresses added today.⚫️ That said, we do have one theory for why Telegram hasn’t rushed to announce it yet. The developers may simply want to polish the wallet first and only then open it up to everyone. Work is clearly still ongoing: for example, the Money section only appeared in Telegram WebA yesterday. TON Connect was also updated over the weekend, with Telegram’s built-in wallet becoming the default wallet option.⚫️ So once again, it looks like all we can do is wait and hope the mass rollout is being saved for the official announcement. Otherwise, Durov’s already shaky credibility may take another hit.@thedailyton

👁️ How to unlock Telegram’s new wallet — and why it still has security issues⚫️ On Tuesday, we covered the security measures Telegram had built into its new wallet. Today’s post is something of a response to our own piece. Telegram Wallet is finally starting to roll out to users, and early testing has already uncovered a few concerning issues.⚫️ The first — and most serious — is privacy. Right now, the transfer interface can reveal another Telegram user’s TON address. There are no settings yet to disable incoming transfers or hide your address. Once someone has it, they can inspect your balance and full transaction history onchain. Transfers between wallets could also be used to link different Telegram accounts together. For OSINT researchers and scammers, that’s a goldmine.⚫️ The second issue is access from new devices. If you log into Telegram on a new device, the Money section becomes available there too. To be fair, the wallet asks for your two-factor authentication password before the first transfer. Still, temporarily restricting outgoing transfers from newly logged-in devices would add a useful extra layer of security.⚫️ By the way, if you want to unlock Money yourself, all you need is to receive 0.1 GRAM from someone who already has access. There’s another way too: go to this bot to get your Telegram TON address, copy it, and send 0.1 GRAM to it with Keeper, Gram Wallet, or any other wallet you’re using. Once the transfer arrives, Money should appear in both Settings and the attachment menu.@thedailyton

📒 Can AI crack crypto wallets?⚫️ Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake recently warned on X about an unexpected potential threat to crypto. He argues that rapid progress in AI-assisted mathematics could eventually lead to a break of ECDSA — the digital signature scheme used by Bitcoin and Ethereum. In a worst-case scenario, he says this could happen within months, even without quantum computers. For now, though, the threat remains purely hypothetical.⚫️ Drake suggests the industry should start preparing for what he calls “bunker mode.” The idea is to keep large balances on fresh addresses that have never signed a transaction. Their public keys remain unexposed, so even if the underlying signature scheme were compromised, an attacker wouldn’t have a public key to work from.⚫️ Vitalik Buterin also responded to the warning. He agreed that the risk should be taken seriously, but cautioned against rushing to move funds. According to Vitalik, he has lost more money to botched wallet migrations than to all hacks combined. Ethereum, meanwhile, is already working toward more resilient cryptography.⚫️ The broader concern is relevant to TON as well. TON uses a different signature scheme — Ed25519 — but it also relies on elliptic-curve cryptography.⚫️ A TON wallet’s public key becomes visible onchain once the wallet contract is deployed, which normally happens when it sends its first outgoing transaction. Until then, the address can receive GRAM while keeping the public key unexposed. So if this threat ever becomes real, moving funds to a fresh wallet could serve as a temporary defensive measure.@thedailyton

⭐️ GRAM is now available to T-Bank users in Russia⚫️ T-Bank, one of Russia’s largest banks, has started offering crypto trading through its new T-Crypto service.⚫️ The flow is pretty straightforward: users can open a separate crypto account, fund it with RUB directly from their T-Bank balance, swap RUB for USDT, and then buy GRAM inside T-Terminal. One important detail: T-Crypto itself is not operated by T-Bank. The actual broker is Belarus-based Techbit Lab, while T-Bank handles KYC and acts as the fiat on-ramp.⚫️ For now, the setup is fully custodial. Users don’t hold the keys, external withdrawals are not yet available, and balances are not covered by bank deposit insurance. The terms also explicitly mention counterparty risk tied to the broker and

🖊 Liquidity never sits still⚫️ Today, Circle — the company behind USDC — launched Arc. Traders wasted no time jumping into the new chain: at the time of writing, 24-hour DEX volume has already reached $337 million, while some of the first tokens are already doing tens of millions of dollars in volume.⚫️ Interestingly, as activity on Arc picked up, memecoins on Solana and Base noticeably cooled off. We’ve seen this kind of liquidity rotation between chains before. This summer, for example, after Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev posted about memecoins, daily DEX volume on Robinhood Chain jumped from $32 million to $433 million, and at its peak the network accounted for 16.6% of all DEX volume. Robinhood Chain’s early surge was indeed driven heavily by speculative memecoin flow.

👁 A hidden upside of RWA pairs⚫️ With Gram Wallet delayed once again, we’re temporarily continuing our tour of other ecosystems. Last week, we covered a new meta: launching memecoins in pairs with tokenized stocks. Today, let’s look at one interesting side effect of that setup.⚫️ Most “trenchers” on Robinhood Chain keep their balances in ETH or USDG. So if someone wants to buy a memecoin paired with tokenized GOOGLx, the aggregator routes the trade like this: USDG → GOOGLx → memecoin. When they sell, the same route runs in reverse.⚫️ That routing is where things get interesting. If you have idle capital, in theory you can provide liquidity to a pair like ETH/GOOGLx or USDG/NVDAx and collect fees from all the trading routed through it. You can still

📈 How stocks are getting their own memecoins⚫️ Yesterday, we looked at how tokenized stocks have become one of crypto’s newest metas — and how that trend is slowly making its way to TON. Today, let’s keep going and take a look at a few memecoins launched in pairs with these assets. Needless to say, this is not financial advice — just something to make your Friday a little more entertaining.⚫️ Over the past few days, an unwritten rule has already emerged on Robinhood Chain: pretty much every popular stock now seems to need its own memecoin. Here are a few examples:— FLYBRAIN against GOOGL. You’ve probably already seen the story about an enthusiast who got a digitized fly brain to trade crypto. The market reacted exactly as you’d expect, spawning dozens of memecoins around the story.

📈 Memecoins are now trading against stocks⚫️ If you’ve been following crypto lately, you’ve probably noticed that a lot of trading activity is currently centered on Robinhood Chain, where a new meta is gaining traction fast. More and more tokens are launching in pairs not with the chain’s native asset or USDT, but with tokenized stocks like NVDAx, TSLAx, MSTRx, and others.⚫️ Most of these launches are happening through the PONS launchpad, whose token recently came close to a $1 billion market cap. Yesterday, pump.fun adopted the same model, offering 93 different assets for new pairs — from NVIDIA and Tesla to the S&P 500, Bitcoin, and gold.⚫️ TON has now started experimenting with the same format. The GroypFi team launched TopBlast V2, where users

💀 Where did the old Durov go?⚫️ A few days ago, Kirill Filimonov from Dayte TON! (Give me TON!) recorded an eight-minute “obituary” for TON as it exists today, going through the mistakes of its former leadership and Pavel Durov himself. We won’t dwell on the voice message itself. What interests us more is something else: Kirill is far from the first person to point out how much attitudes toward Durov — once a hero to many — have changed over the past couple of years.⚫️ Everyone remembers the old Durov persona: a reclusive geek dressed in black, rarely giving interviews and openly inspired by Neo from The Matrix. Today, we see someone who jokes on stage that none of his friends were scammed through Mini Apps while “all of them got richer,” talks about having a hundred biological

⭐️ Fomo — the crypto social app we didn’t build⚫️ Fomo officially launched in May 2025, with the team saying it wanted to onboard more than 10 million users. A year and a half later, the app is generating over $1 million a day in fees, while people across X and Telegram are already calling it “the future of trading.”⚫️ The formula is pretty simple: Fomo put everything a casual trader needs into one app. A feed of influencer calls, a custodial wallet with Apple Pay deposits, and a trade aggregator that lets users buy tokens without leaving the app. It also works across all the major chains: you can fund your account on one network and use the same balance to trade across several others.⚫️ By bringing the entire memecoin trading flow into one place,

🏆 Gram Wallet was hiding in plain sight since 2019⚫️ A few days ago, Pavel Durov sent 100 GRAM to marat.ton, and the owner of the address moved the funds into the new Telegram Wallet almost immediately. We decided to look into who might be behind the wallet and found a likely match in Marat Kharrasov, a designer whose Telegram concepts were featured by the company as far back as 2019.⚫️ One of his earliest concepts focused on the original Gram Wallet from the Telegram Open Network era. In the video, a user opens an App Store-style marketplace inside Telegram and buys a game with GRAM. The concept looked so convincing that some media outlets mistook it for an official Telegram interface. Telegram later awarded Marat with $5,000 for the work.⚫️ A few

📒 Telegram Wallet might go completely unnoticed⚫️ Back in late July, we already worried that Telegram Wallet could simply get lost inside the app after launch. A billion users may get access to a new wallet, but it was never clear how that billion was actually supposed to find out about it. Now we have the first answer — and it does not make us any more optimistic.⚫️ Judging by Telegram’s beta version, the new wallet will replace the current @wallet entry in Settings and will also be available through the attachment menu. In other words, for an average user, the update may look something like this: yesterday there was one wallet button in the menu, today there is another. If you do not actively look for it, the “biggest self-custodial wallet rollout in history” could be almost
