The @catalogue_app mini app now opens on a single search box, like a search engine. It searches the Telegram catalogue in one go: 2,666,707 channels, groups and bots, 3,010 mini apps, 316,545 emoji packs and 9,291 sticker packs. Above the results sits a short overview written by a language model. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs inside Telegram itself.

What it searches
One query fans out into five shelves, up to nine results each:

Apps and bots show monthly users in the row, channels show subscribers. The "Open" button goes straight into Telegram — to the mini app, the bot or the channel; a pack is added in one tap.
Duplicates stay out: when a channel changes its address, the catalogue keeps one row, not two. Dead and deleted rooms are not searched.
How the AI overview works
Above the results is the Catalogue AI block — two sentences, at most 45 words. For «wallet» it says HOT Wallet leads with 171.1 thousand monthly users, followed by Cwallet, Spell Wallet, Bitget Wallet and others. For the Russian «кошелёк» the leader is Crypto Bot with 1.2 million a month.
The model retells only what the catalogue found: up to six apps and up to three bots for the query, with their descriptions and monthly users. It is not allowed to add knowledge of its own, so the number in the overview is always the one in the row below. The largest comes first; there is no advice and no rating.
Under the overview are source buttons: the four largest results it was written from. The overview comes in the interface language, Russian or English.
Why the overview sometimes doesn't show
Each new query is summarised once and kept for a day, so repeating it answers instantly. If the model is unavailable, or the query found neither apps nor bots, there is no block and the results work as usual. The model can take a few dozen seconds, so the overview sometimes appears after the rows.
How to search more precisely
For channels and bots the box understands the same tricks as the big search engines:
@durov— username only, without channels that merely mention the word;"exact phrase"in quotes — a whole-phrase match;-word— exclude: «wallet -scam».
Type a username and username matches come first: whoever types «durov» is looking for @durov, not forty channels that mention him.
An empty box shows recent searches, other people's popular searches, app categories and channel topics. Under the box on the home screen are short entries: "Apps", "Channels", "Own bot" (the bot builder), "Stickers" (the sticker studio) and "Feeling lucky" — a random app from the hundred largest by monthly users.
