Telegram Stars can be purchased within the app itself — via the App Store, Google Play, or the @PremiumBot — and on Fragment using GRAM, USDT, or USDC. As of September 28, 2026, 1,000 Stars cost €16,59 (approximately $18.90) in the app, and $15 on Fragment. Stars can be bought for yourself or directly for another person. Purchased Stars are non-refundable and cannot be withdrawn; they can only be spent within Telegram.
Where to Buy
- In the Telegram app. On iPhone, payments are processed via the App Store; on Android, via Google Play. The Stars section is in the settings. Prices are in the currency of your region's store.
- Via @PremiumBot. The bot sells Stars in the web version, Telegram Desktop, and the Android version downloaded from the Telegram website — under the same terms as the app.
- On Fragment. Connect your TON wallet and Telegram account, then select the recipient and package. Payments can be made in GRAM, USDT (on TON, Ethereum, and Polygon networks), or USDC (on Ethereum, Base, and Polygon). The smallest package is 50 Stars. Telegram refers to Fragment as a way to buy Stars in bulk.

In-app prices are shown for an account where the store calculates in Euros; in a different country, the currency and amount will differ. Fragment calculates in dollars and converts them to GRAM at its own exchange rate — on September 28, $1.65 per GRAM, so 1,000 Stars cost 9.09 GRAM.
On Fragment, a Star costs $0.015 for any package. In the app, larger packages are slightly cheaper per Star: 100 Stars cost €0.0179 each, while 5,000 Stars cost €0.0164 each. Prices for all in-app packages are updated on the Telegram prices page.
How to Buy Stars for Another Person
On Fragment, enter their username in the recipient field — the Stars will be credited to their balance. In the app, Stars are gifted from a person's profile: gift packages cost the same as topping up your own balance.
What You Cannot Do with Purchased Stars
Telegram's terms prohibit selling, withdrawing, or transferring purchased Stars: they can only be spent on items sold within Telegram. The purchase of Stars is final: money for them is not refunded.

- Paid messages and reactions. Telegram client parameters allow paid reactions up to 10,000 Stars, and paid messages up to 35,000 Stars.
