Almost half of Telegram updates over the past three weeks relate to the built-in wallet: 13 out of 28 updates concern Gram Wallet. There has been no major update since August 25, 42 days ago, and this pause risks becoming the longest in 2026.

Version 12.9 for iOS was released on July 14, the day of the previous announcement. After that, only 12.9.1–12.9.4 were released in the App Store, all four with the same note: «Bug fixes, minor improvements, and more». Beta builds for macOS and iOS already carry the 12.10 version number. Desktop is released most frequently: six stable versions in September, from 7.1.4 to 7.2.9.

In the October 3 build, a string about the secret phrase and «exactly three holders» was found: «A 215-byte mnemonic text and exactly three holders are required». It seems the phrase is being prepared for splitting into parts, but there is no interface for this in the build yet.
The other 15 updates over three weeks include Desktop 7.2.9 and beta 7.2.10 with Unicode 17 emojis, Android updates, two Web A builds, Telegram Ads banners in bots, a warning about fake accounts after sending a gift, and preparation for TON smart contract language highlighting. There were no stable releases for iOS and macOS during this period.
