A Gram Wallet address exists for a user even before the wallet itself appears in the Telegram interface; it's only shown in settings after the first 0.1 Gram. You can find your address before — and after — this in the @catalogue_app bot in three ways: via a link, a command, or an inline query from any chat.
How to Find Your Address with One Button
The link t.me/catalogue_app?start=mywallet opens the bot and immediately sends a wallet card. It contains:
- the full Gram Wallet address, which can be copied using the "Copy address" button;
- its status: whether the wallet is active yet, and how many Gram it holds;
- a "Top up from another wallet" button, which opens a 0.1 GRAM transfer to this address in Tonkeeper with the amount pre-filled;
- an "Ask a friend" button — more on this below.
The same card appears in response to the /mywallet command if the bot is already open.
Why the Bot Might Respond "We can't see you yet"
A Gram Wallet address is tied to a Telegram account, and only another account that can see the user can read it. The bot operates through the service account @JimGramer, which sees subscribers of the @gramnews channel and those who have messaged it. Therefore, if you receive the "We can't see you yet" response, one of two actions is sufficient:
- subscribe to @gramnews;
- send any message to @JimGramer.
After this, you can tap "Check" on the card, and the address will appear.
How to Find Your Address Directly in Chat
You don't have to message the bot privately. In any chat, group, or channel, type into the input field:
@catalogue_app
and "My Gram Wallet" with a wallet icon will appear as the first line above the keyboard. The address is visible directly in the caption of this line — you don't need to send anything to see it.
Tapping this line sends a message to the chat with your address and a "Send 0.1 GRAM" button: your friend taps it, and a transfer window to your @username opens with the amount pre-filled. This is a convenient way to ask a friend for your first 0.1 Gram.
A public @username is required for the address in the caption, as the transfer link is built using it. Without a username, the line leads to the bot, where the /mywallet card will show the address.
Another method for groups where the bot is a member is the /mywallet@catalogue_app command. The bot responds with a message containing the requester's address, and after one minute, both the command and the response disappear from the chat.
What "No wallet yet" Means
A Gram Wallet is not created manually: the address appears the moment another person opens a transfer window to your @username. You don't need to transfer anything; the window can simply be closed. One Telegram account can create about 20 wallets an hour.
If the bot responds "No wallet yet", there are two options on the card:
- "Get a wallet" — a request on the bot's board, which is fulfilled by a participant who already has a wallet (t.me/catalogue_app?start=w_get);
- "Ask a friend" — a "Help me create a Gram Wallet" card is sent to any chat, and your friend just needs to tap the button within it.
Details on how a wallet is created via transfer can be found in the guide how to get a Gram Wallet if you don't have one yet.
When the Wallet Will Appear in Telegram
It's normal to have an address but no wallet in Telegram settings if the address is empty. Telegram displays the wallet in the interface after the first 0.1 Gram: a friend can transfer it, or you can send it from any TON wallet to the address from the card. The number of active wallets and their Gram balance can be seen on the Gram Wallet statistics page.
Information on how the wallet itself works, the secret phrase, and transfers can be found in the guides about Gram Wallet, about transfers, and about the secret phrase.
